S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival 2013

It’s become an annual tradition of sorts for us to head over to St. Catharines for S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival (though we still affectionately call it SCENEfest) right as summer festival season gets under way. We have fully immersed ourselves in the Toronto music scene, but sometimes it’s nice to see what other nearby music communities have to offer. As Niagara has a rich music scene, the idea of finding a band before they make it big is always on our mind when we hit up SCENE. But SCENE isn’t just about the bands that call the Niagara region home. The festival will also have some big-name-bands playing the main stage, namely Hollerado and Tokyo Police Club.

Plan out your day using the handy scheduler because there’s a lot of great music to choose from. For a preview of some of what you can check out at the festival, there’s a mixtape on the SCENE website.

If you’re looking for some recommendations, we highly recommend you make some time to check out War Child’s Busking for Change on the Old Court House steps. You can see some stripped down sets from a variety of bands. Don’t forget to donate!

See you there, friends!
