Reversing Falls is a 3-piece band based out of Montreal. Tyler Crawford fronts the band with Charlie Neufeld on guitar and Jesse Ash on bass. The band plays with a drum machine, but they play such an explosive breed of pop rock that you might not notice right away. I certainly didn’t. The songs are short and noisy, packing enough of a punch to make a quick impression. Full of energy and bringing along a cheeky on stage personality, Reversing Falls certainly won me over.
It was amusing to see Crawford’s reaction upon trying to move a broken string out of the way, realizing he actually broke TWO strings. However, there was an extra guitar ready and he made an impressively smooth transition. He apologized for reacting, but said, “That NEVER happens.” While the broken strings were a bit of bad luck, the band put on a great set and had a great crowd turn out for support.
