Preview: Flying Fox & The Hunter Gatherers at the Silver Dollar April 21st

Winnipeg’s Flying Fox & The Hunter Gatherers have a unique sound, blending jazz, folk and pop influences, while frontman Jesse Krause adds an operatic tinge to the sound with his vocal delivery. There is a theatrical element to their sound that surely can only be brighter, bigger and bolder live. The band released their second full-length, Hans My Lion, on March 15th, a follow up to The Wild Things, a well-received rock opera released in 2010.

Flying Fox & The Hunter Gatherers will be taking their music to the Silver Dollar on Thursday, April 21st. Catch them then before the band heads back home to Winnipeg. Their powerful sound must be experienced live.

And to give you more of an idea of their bombastic sound, here’s a video for “Starlyng.”
