An Overview of Our CMW 2012 Coverage

Canadian Music Week 2012 – An Overview

While Canadian Music Week is always jam-packed with conferences and films (plus comedy shows this year too!), we focused entirely on the live music. We still recommend you go out an experience all that CMW has to offer next year, though. We just wish we had more time or could be in multiple places at once!

Between all of us, we saw just under 80 bands this year with a handful of repeats. We saw some great local bands and bands from nearby cities, but I’m proud to say that we attended showcases put on by ECMA, Alberta Music & SaskMusic, Music BC and Music Nova Scotia to ensure that we celebrated great Canadian music that is created all across the country.

Congrats on 30 years, CMW! Thanks for the fun week and we’re looking forward to another great year next year – March 20-24, 2013!
