Preview: Bowerbirds at The Garrison on March 27th

North Carolina’s Bowerbirds has just released their third full-length album, The Clearing, on March 6th via Dead Oceans. At the heart of the band is Philip Moore (vocals, guitar) and Beth Tacular (accordion, vocals). Their debut album, Hymns for a Dark Horse, had the band supporting some notable acts, which carried through with their 2009 follow-up, Upper Air. A few years since the last release, the couple has put together a personal record after some trying times, including a breakup and illness. It’s a fresh start for both the couple and the band as their experience and sound grows. It’s seems as though it’s only a matter of time before The Clearing sees their fan base grow as well.

The band will bring their moving folk to The Garrison on March 27th and it’s certainly a show we recommend you check out.
