We so rarely share singles, but it’s hard to deny our excitement for this forthcoming album. Based on “Signs of the Civilized”, Bravestation has taken a new direction in their recordings. Their 2010 EP embraced a new wave indie pop sound, but the single now showcases a more tribal vibe while injecting just enough quirk (via synths). Although subdued compared to previous material, the musicianship in this song remains remarkable.
The song has all of us curious for the kind of adventure Bravestation plans on taking with the full-length. As Devin Wilson beckons, “Why don’t you let me try and take you there?” we wait for him and the rest of Bravestation to do so.
