Meet My Son The Hurricane, an 11-piece hip hop band that melds jazz and funk influences with their own modern flavour. They’re based out of St. Catharines, with marching band-like brass and a New Orleans-esque feel. With charismatic Jacob Bergsma at the helm as the MC, the band uses their modernized jazz training to captivate their live audiences. It’s a fusion that one simply needs to experience live.
They’re currently promoting their debut EP, Check The Barometer, which was produced by Paul Riemens at Grant Avenue Studio (Bob Dylan, U2). Check out their must-see video for “Ain’t My Style” below.
